We have been engaged by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to assist in the appointment of the Director of the Swire Institute of Marine Science.
The University of Hong Kong is one of the top Universities in Asia. Being the number 26 in the overall worldwide QS ranking and number 21 within Natural Science, HKU is an internationally recognised, research led, comprehensive university.
This is a critical role that asks for a strong leader that can make change happen and has a vision on how to achieve research excellence and build close relationships with stakeholders. An inspirational personality with a global outlook, an outstanding research track record and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Hong Kong is ideally located for Marine Sciences as a hub for world-leading research. The institute has a unique research facility at the coastline of stunning Cape d’Aguilar (designated as Hong Kong’s first marine reserve) which is currently undergoing a 12 million (US$) renovation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global university in a senior leadership role. It provides the chance to bring the Institute to greater heights, experience living in vibrant Hong Kong and further your career in what is being characterised as the ‘Asian Century’.
