Professor Alison Honour has been appointed as Birmingham City University‘s Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media. Professor Honour started her new position at Birmingham City in July 2018 and was previously Pro-Vice Chancellor of De Montfort’s Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities.

Lucy Everest has been appointed as the Executive Director Global Marketing for Heriot-Watt University. Ms Everest, who was previously Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Director of Marketing at Middlesex University, started her new role in September 2018.

Professor Rachel Ashworth has been appointed as the first female Dean of Cardiff University Business School. Professor Ashworth is currently Professor of Public Services Management and will lead the School from September 2018 succeeding Professor Martin Kitchener following the completion of his six-year term.

The University of Sheffield has announced the appointment of Professor Liz Mossop as its new Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Development and Engagement. Professor Mossop was Formerly Professor of Veterinary Education and Sub-Dean for Teaching, Learning and Assessment at the University of Nottingham.

Professor Angela Kydd has joined Robert Gordon University as Clinical Professor in Nursing. The joint role – between the School of Nursing and Midwifery and NHS Grampian – will see her support academics and clinical staff in their research endeavours.

The University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University are delighted to welcome Professor Chris Holland as the Foundation Dean of the Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS). Professor Holland joins the KMMS from the University of Surrey, where he was a Professorial Teaching Fellow and Director of Learning and Teaching for Medicine.

Peter Barker has been appointed as Head of School, Design + Communication, at Plymouth College of Art. The role sees him return to England after three years in Denmark at Design School Kolding.

The University of Aberdeen has announced the appointment of Professor Karl Leydecker as its new Senior Vice-Principal early next year. Professor Leydecker is currently Vice-Principal (Learning & Teaching) and Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the University of Dundee

Professor Ian White has been appointed as the next Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Bath. Professor White, who is currently van Eck Professor of Engineering and a Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cambridge, and Master of Jesus College, will join the University of Bath as its seventh Vice-Chancellor on 8 April 2019.

The University of Sunderland has announced that Professor Scott Wilkes has been appointed as Head of the new School of Medicine when it opens September 2019. Professor Wilkes is currently Professor of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Sunderland and part-time GP.

The University of Edinburgh have appointed James Saville as Director of Human Resources. Mr Saville joined the University in January 2018 as Interim Director of Human Resources having spent the past five years as Director of People, Operations and Systems at the Department for International Development.

Professor Neville Wylie has been appointed Deputy Principal (Internationalisation) at The University of Stirling. Professor Wylie joins Stirling from the University of Nottingham, where he was Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement.

The University of Birmingham is delighted to announce that Professor Laura Green has been appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Life and Environmental Sciences. Professor Green, who will join the University in October 2018, is currently Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor- Interdisciplinary Research and Impact at the University of Warwick.
